With a strong product pipeline from our research team, we are developing innovative solutions to tackle some of the world’s most concerning health issues, including Triplex and other Combo tests for various infectious diseases.
 
The Opportunity
 
Due to our recent portfolio growth and market access, we are seeking an independent and accomplished Account Manager responsible for all sales activities in the assigned Canadian market. The primary goal of this position is to identify, manage, and close new opportunities with key accounts across the country and across several customer segmentations. In addition to business development, the Canadian AM will be working to secure public funding for infectious disease testing for our customer base. This candidate will be working remotely with frequent travel to customer locations, with regular team meetings as may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and submit monthly sales forecast for designated region; effectively use our CRM to provide insight into active opportunities in all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Drive performance within the Canadian market.
  • Forecast and analyze sales drivers and identify new opportunities.
  • Day-to-day management and optimizing of our existing distribution network while dramatically growing it.
  • Plan a monthly travel schedule to maximize the amount of face time with customers, identifying customer locations that can be added to the travel schedule.
  • Successfully demonstrate our IVD devices to potential customers.
  • Utilize the full capability of our CRM system for documenting the sales process by scheduling future activity and follow-ups in the system.
  • Work with bioLytical HQ team to finalize new product launch strategy for the targeted region.
  • Submit weekly sales reports to the Commercial Vice President to update on sales activity.
  • Request support from team when customer needs prompt attention or follow-up assistance and verify that needed action has been taken.
  • Participate in weekly sales calls to update and discuss sales strategy.
  • Build internal relationships with our Logistics and Marketing teams utilizing their support as needed to close sales.
  • Provide monthly sales forecast for accounts.
  • Identify, track and apply for public sector tenders and other procurement opportunities within public health.
  • Identify new opportunities in private sector, such as pharmacy, to introduce and scale new products.
  • Routinely review and adjust the business plan and identify top prospects.
  • Generate leads through industry networking, asking for referrals when appropriate.
  • Participate in trade shows and company seminars as required.
  • Participate in quarterly meetings with Sales Team as an opportunity for regional planning and sales management support efforts.
  • Develop presentations and sales materials as needed.
  • Partner with Marketing on lead generation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of progressive field sales experience and a desire to be customer-facing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Able to work from home with travel throughout Canada.
  • Prior experience in IVD sales preferred.
  • Public Health RFP experience mandatory.
  • Bilingual (English and French) strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge and established Canadian pharmacy banner contacts strongly preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical information.
  • Outstanding strategic skills with solid creative thinking.
  • Detail oriented and self-starter.
  • Results oriented and deadline management drive.
  • Travel requirement 40%.
